Named cards could have either been calling cards that people left when they would stop by to visit friends. Or business cards.
The center of the sign is a 14 ply paper board. Similar to the cardboard of today, but more texture and a bit thicker. It has some wear and repairs giving it all the more character. Be sure to see all photos
